About the Hamilton Basketball Association

The HBA is a volunteer-run house league basketball program for girls and boys ages 5 to 18. We are a developmental basketball program and Rep players are not permitted to play in the HBA. Our coaches use training materials from the Steve Nash Youth Basketball program and Basketball Canada.

We have hundreds of local children playing every weekend from Thanksgiving until March Break.

Practices, with the exception of our Junior Boys Division, are held Monday-Friday evenings with games being played on Saturdays between 9am and 5pm.

**Please Note: Our Junior Boys Division has practices and games on Saturdays between 12pm and 5pm.

Volunteer with the HBA. Please send us an email if you have any questions.

HBA Mission Statement.

To foster, promote and teach basketball within all areas of Hamilton. To provide the opportunity for individuals to participate fairly, regardless of ability. To further the development of a player’s basketball skills. To develop and encourage sportsmanship, community spirit and good fellowship among all participants. To improve a participant’s physical, mental and social well-being. The HBA is committed to providing sound leadership for all participants, as well as a wholesome environment, an experience for personal growth and team play, and an opportunity for fun and physical exercise.
